i50 – i200 – Dot peen marking for production lines

Maximum versatility and integrability

The BERMA i50 – i200 dot peen marking systems for production lines are specifically designed to ensure the highest level of integration into other systems, production lines, robotic cells and automation in general.

The marking head is extremely robust and requires particularly little maintenance.

Large marking areas allow several lines of code to be placed on the component.

Marking areas

i50:
50 x 30 mm

i80:
80 x 30 mm

i100X:
100 x 80 mm

i170X:
170 x 110 mm

i200X:
200 x 200 mm

Easy to use, these dot peen marking systems for production lines allow marking to be carried out on parts of various shapes and on surfaces of any material, including plastics and hardened steel (up to 62HRC).

In case the application in which they are inserted and/or their positioning requires it, a protective cap made of technical material can be installed to protect the marking head from dust, chips, splashes of water, oil or other agents.

The mechanics of the dot peen marking system for production lines are contained in a resistant aluminium casing and the protective caps (optional) allow for intensive use even continuously.

Dot peen marking can be integrated into production lines via 24 VDC digital I/O and/or MODBUS-RTU, ASCII communication protocols on an RS-232 serial port. Ethernet and Profinet are optional.

Electromagnetically driven punch

Robust, compact and easy to use, they effectively meet the need for part identification within an automated system, especially when a large marking area is required.

They use an electrically driven 4-mm diameter punch, with a maximum drive frequency of 100 Hz, and due to their compact size are an ideal solution for identifying bulky components that do not require subsequent surface treatment.

Pneumatically operated punch

They are high-performance, powerful and compact microdot marking systems for production lines, ideal for creating extremely precise and deep markings.

3- and 6- and 16-mm-diameter punches can be used, which, thanks to pneumatic actuation with 6-bar pressure, allow markings up to 0.6 mm deep on non-heat-treated steel to be clearly visible even after subsequent surface treatments.
